📝 How to Sign Your Title Correctly
Match the Title Exactly
Print and sign your name exactly as it appears on the front of the title. If it includes a middle name or suffix (Jr., Sr.), write it out. (If your name changed, still use the name printed on the title).
Check Multiple Owners
Connected by “AND” (or no word) $\rightarrow$ Both owners must sign.
Connected by “OR” $\rightarrow$ Only one owner needs to sign.
Where to Sign & Print
Line 1a: Registered Owner signature (Line 1b for co-owner).
Seller/Transferor Box: Sign and print your name under the mileage/odometer section.
Buyer Section
LEAVE BLANK. Do not write anything in the purchaser or buyer fields. We handle this during processing.

The DMV will reject titles with corrections. Please keep these in mind:
Pen: Blue or black ink only.
No White-Out: Never use correction fluid or tape.
No Cross-Outs: Don’t scratch out, scribble, or rewrite over mistakes.
No Highlighters: Do not mark any part of the document with highlighters.
